Start Your Own Club

Starting an environment club at your school or in your local community is easy. All you need is a spare afternoon and an interest in the environment. Approach the principal of your school and offer to run the club. He or she will most likely be very receptive to the idea.

Please feel free to use any content on this website to assist you in your lesson planning.

In the first lesson, it may be best to cover the basics.

  1. Don't use it
  2. Reuse it
  3. Recycle it

You may wish to focus on a particular issue for a period of time, perhaps a term. The issues we cover are at the right.

In each lesson, we do three things, play, act and learn. Play usually includes a game, an experiment or some artwork. Act is taking some kind of action to help the environment and learn is learning about a particular topic.

If you do find these resources useful, we would love to hear from you. Your comments, suggestions and successes are of huge interest to us. It would be wonderful to start an online community of environmentally active parents and teachers so that we can support one another.
